In partnership with the Associated Designers of Canada Arts Service Organization, we offer a variety of memberships to suit designers at all stages of their career:
Student Membership
For students or recent graduates of an educational institution. Student members can have a profile in the member directory, access to members-only resources, among other benefits.
Student membership is free, with a one-time $25 application fee (waived for students at member Institutions).
Associate Membership
For working designers who are not yet ready to take out Full membership, or don’t have the required professional credits.
Associate members can have a profile in the member directory, access to members-only resources, among other benefits.
Associate members work under the contracts created or negotiated by ADC659 and are fully covered by the protections offered within, but cannot access the IATSE Health and Retirement benefits.
Associate members may file up to five Design contracts before applying for Full membership.
Associate membership is $35/year, with a one-time $25 application fee.
Full Membership
For designers with a minimum of three professional design credits, working in Canada.
Full members can have a profile in the member directory, access to members-only resources, among other benefits.
Full members participate in the Canadian Entertainment Industry Retirement Plan, Canada’s third largest retirement plan of its type. You are also covered by ADC659’s Health Benefits (which include life insurance and a healthcare spending account) from your first day of membership.
In addition to Full membership, we also offer existing members Non-Resident, Emeritus, and Retired options. Please inquire with the office for more information.
Full membership is $510/year, with a one-time initiation fee of $300.

Benefit of membership in ADC659 include:

Prospective Full members must complete the application form, which can be requested by emailing adc@designers.ca. A minimum of three professional production credits is required, along with references from existing ADC members.
